Relock reminder

Last updated June 17th, 2026

You can configure reminder messages to let device users know their devices will soon lock. For the reminder to be delivered, you must enable relock reminders using device actions before the specified start time is reached.

This policy configures how relock reminders display. To enable relock reminders for a device, you must turn the relock reminder on.

Set relock reminders

To configure your relock reminder settings:

  1. Navigate to the Policies page.

  2. Under MESSAGING, click RELOCK REMINDER.

  3. Enter a reminder Message. Your message should clearly state that the device will soon lock, and what action(s) device users should take to ensure their device stays unlocked.

  4. (Optional) You can display a Phone number users can contact for support. You can modify this setting using the Pay-as-you-go lock screen policy.

  5. (Optional) Review your Advanced support methods settings. You can modify these settings using the Pay-as-you-go lock screen policy.

  6. Select the reminder’s Format.

    • Show as a dialog: The reminder displays as a dismissible notification.
    • Show as a fullscreen reminder: The reminder displays as a persistent, full screen notification.
  7. Set a Start time for when reminders begin to display.

  8. (Optional) You can display the relock message as a blinking reminder that re-appears after a set period of time. Check the box, then enter a time in seconds, hours or days.

    • (Optional) Set limits for when the blinking reminder can be shown to users.

      • You can define set hours every day during which update reminders won’t be shown.
      • Select Do not show during the selected time period to set a specific time period during which update reminders won’t be shown.
  9. Click SAVE.

Your relock reminder settings are now configured. To enable the reminders on a device, you must turn them on using the device action, or through bulk actions.
