Smishing prevention with requester verification
To strengthen security against smishing attacks, the Knox Remote Support agent now shows the requester’s details to device users when a remote session is initiated using an access code, which is sent by SMS. Device users can review the requester’s information and choose to accept or deny the remote session request.
Periodic device status checks
For better management of unresponsive devices, Knox Remote Support now performs status check every five days for all registered devices that haven’t connected to a remote support session for over 30 days.
If a device fails to respond during the first check, it undergoes a second verification after five days. If the device remains unresponsive, a third and final check is performed five days later. If a device fails to respond three consecutive times, its status in the device list on Knox Remote Support console is updated from Registered
