Allow apps to access Knox SDK
Last updated April 29th, 2025
Knox 3.11 introduces changes to Knox SDK access, which restricts the access some apps have to certain features in the Knox SDK.
With Knox Service Plugin, you can grant access to Remote control and Certificate management features in the Knox SDK for specific apps. To do this:
-
In the Knox Service Plugin app configuration, enable device-wide policy controls or work profile policy controls depending on how your devices are deployed.
Base setting in managed configuration Value Device-wide policies > Enable device policy controls To configure for company-owned devices (fully-managed or with a work profile), set to True. Work profile policies > Enable work profile policies To configure for personal devices with a work profile, set to True. -
Go to the Application management policies section and set Enable Add applications for accessing the Knox SDK to True.
-
Add a new configuration under Add applications for accessing the Knox SDK, and fill in these fields:
- Package Name — Specify the app package name.
- Signature — (Optional) Specify app signature.
- Scope — Select which Knox SDK features the specified app can access.
