Assign profiles
Last updated October 19th, 2024
Once you’ve created a profile, assign it to one or more devices to ensure they are enrolled into your EMM with your specified device enrollment settings.
To assign a profile to a device:
-
On the Knox Mobile Enrollment console, click Devices from the left navigation pane. The ALL DEVICES tab on the Devices page lists all devices in a table.
-
Select one or more devices by their IMEI/MEID number.
-
Click ACTIONS > Configure devices to open the device details panel. This panel consolidates all device details from the Devices table, including unselected options, into a single column.
-
In the device details panel, click the Profile drop-down menu to view all available profiles.
Profiles marked as (Advanced) include advanced functionality such as device lock and app installation during enrollment. If you assign a profile with advanced settings to a device, you must have a valid Knox Suite license to use the features.
-
Use the drop-down menu to select an existing profile you want to assign the devices to, then click SAVE.
Assigning profiles with advanced settings to a device that is also enrolled in Knox Guard may cause locking conflicts. To fix this, you’ll need to unenroll the device from Knox Guard.
Now that your profile is assigned to your devices, you’re ready for device users to enroll into an EMM.
