Lock screen

You can set a default device lock message and contact information that displays on devices that are locked as a result of overdue payments.

Set lock screen
To set default device lock settings:

Navigate to the Policies page.

Under DEVICE LOCK, click LOCK SCREEN.

Enter the Message users receive when their device is locked by Knox Guard. The message should contain information on how a payment failure resulted in a device lock.

(Optional) You can Block incoming calls when device is locked. This includes devices locked using the SIM control and Offline device lock policies.

To help users unlock their device, enter your contact information. You must provide either a Phone number or E-mail address.

. - Man Machine Interface (MMI) codes starting with *09, *42, *56, *60, *63, *64, *68, *72, *77, and *78 are blocked.

(Optional) You can specify an app that device users can use to make a payment or access customer support. The specified app must be installed on the device. Click Make app(s) available and either:
- IMPORT an app uploaded using the Application installation policy.
- ADD MANUALLY — Upload an app. On the Add app dialog, enter the Customize menu label on the lock screen, Application package name, and Application signature information and click ADD.
If you have a Knox Guard Advanced license, you can display up to five apps on the lock screen. The app you select as the main Customer app displays on the first lock screen, while other apps display on the Support screen.

Allow PIN code unlock is selected by default. This allows the locked device to be unlocked using a PIN. For more information, see How to unlock devices using pin code?
- (Optional) Make PIN unlock available on the first lock screen.

Allow refresh account status button is selected by default. This adds a Refresh account status button on the device that displays the last time the device was connected to the server. This can inform the device user whether updates and actions pushed recently are still pending.
- To use this feature, the device must have an active network connection.
- To access this feature, you must have the View when devices were last seen by the Knox Guard server permission.

(Optional) You can set a Primary support option to display on the first lock screen.

Click SAVE.
