Support for enrollment profiles in OOBE
You can now optimize the device out-of-box experience (OOBE) using enrollment profiles. Devices assigned an enrollment profile intended for Knox E-FOTA, are automatically enrolled during initial setup, even if there’s no campaign assigned to the devices.
Additionally, you can now view which devices have OOBE enabled on the common device list. To learn more, see Manage enrollment profiles.
Updates
Improvements to the unassign campaigns process
Previously, if you unassigned campaigns for multiple devices at one go, but some devices encountered errors and could not be unassigned, then none of the devices were unassigned.
With this release, when you try to unassign multiple devices from their campaigns, devices that don’t encounter any errors are successfully unassigned. Additionally, the activity log includes all devices, whether their campaigns were unassigned successfully or not.
Enhancements to firmware postponement
Knox E-FOTA now prevents device users from postponing firmware installations past the firmware installation period set in the campaign. To learn more, see Create a campaign.
Firmware progress tracking in the Knox E-FOTA agent
The Knox E-FOTA agent now displays the number of completed software updates and the total number of updates required to fully update to a firmware version.
Improvements to firmware status management
If a device with firmware already updated is assigned to a campaign with the Latest firmware - Up to policy targeting a lower firmware version, the device is not updated. For such devices, the Higher firmware version client status indicates that it has a higher firmware version already assigned to it.
