Overview

To restrict a user from sharing device data in Knox Configure, there are several policies you can apply.

How can I restrict the access and sharing of device data?

  1. In the Knox Configure console, go to Profiles.

  2. Create a new profile or select the profile you want to update.

  3. Navigate to the Configure Settings page of the profile. You can apply the following policies:

    Group Setting Value
    Device settings Developer settings Default USB debugging mode > Off
    Restrictions Security Disable SD card access
    Hide settings menu / element Bluetooth
    Hide settings menu / element Developer
    Device functionality Prevent end users from capturing the screen
    Device functionality Prevent end users from sending SMS
    Device functionality Prevent end users from sending MMS
    USB device restrictions Disable USB Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)
    Connectivity Bluetooth Default Bluetooth settings > Off
    NFC Default NFC settings > Off
    USB Set default USB connection type > CHARGING

    This is not an exhaustive list of policies to block all existing sharing methods.
