How to disable Google Voice Assistant with Knox Configure

Overview

The Google voice assistant is included in 2 applications:

  1. Google voice assistant
  2. Google quick search

To completely remove Google voice assistant from activating on your device, you’ll need to disable both packages.

If the Google quick search is not disabled, the device user will be able use the Google voice assistant by long pressing the home button and activating the Google quick search.

How to disable Google voice assistant

  1. On the Knox Configure console, select or create a new profile.

  2. On the Applications, widgets, and content page, under APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS > Disable the usage of other applications, add the following packages:

    • com.google.android.apps.googleassistant
    • com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
