View policies on the device

To help troubleshoot app issues, you can view the Knox Authentication Manager policies directly from your app’s About screen.

To view device policies:

  1. Open the app, tap the menu button, then tap About.

  2. On the About screen, tap Knox Authentication Manager six times to reveal the app’s policies. If a profile name was configured in the Knox Authentication Manager policy settings, the name appears in the first line of the app’s Policy screen.

    Sensitive data such as the License Key and Sync Group Key are obfuscated.

  3. If an invalid or missing value is pushed to device, an error message is displayed and all invalid or missing policies are highlighted. Additionally, if:

    • A required policy is invalid, the profile is rejected.
      • If you’re pushing a new profile, no profile is applied to the device.
      • If you’re updating a profile, the new profile isn’t applied and the previous profile persists.
    • Only optional policies are invalid, the profile is applied, but if the invalid policy has a default value, the default is used instead.

    Invalid app policies are displayed on the app after tapping the screen.

  4. Tap the back buttons on the Policy and About screens to return to the main app menu.
